Custom Sport Jersey

Even if you don't play baseball, you can still look like part of the team!

It's baseball season and it's time to go to a game fashionably! Luckily my friends wanted to go to a game which gave me an excuse to make this team shirt. PS this works for any sport. Now you can be in style hopefully for a little less money!

Cheers!

Materials:
  • An inexpensive shirt (3/4 length sleeves with a front pocket)
  • Cardboard
  • Pair of scissors
  • Pencil
  • Fabric paint
  • Small paintbrush
  • Photo of your team logo

1. Put your shirt down with the front side up. (Now is the time to find a photo with your team logo so you can make a stencil with the cardboard.)

2. Free hand draw the logo onto the cardboard in pencil and cut out the logo to form a stencil (you can also print out the logo and stencil that onto the cardboard.)

3. Outline the stencil lightly in pencil onto the front pocket.

4. Use a small paintbrush to paint over the pencil outline and color in the logo.
This is the first finished step.
5. Now outline the red paint with the blue paint to help the logo stand out. (Hint: Use the blue paint to hide any mistakes made on the outside with the red paint.)
This is the finished front side of the shirt.

6. Now flip the shirt onto the back and place a piece of cardboard inside the shirt so the shirt doesn't stick together when you paint.
7. Paint your nickname at the top of the shirt and paint a number in block numbers. Hint: Use your favorite player's number (I used Bryce Harper's number.) Also, it might help to use a photo of how to write the number the same as they are written on the back of sports jerseys.

These are the finished backs of the shirts!
Enjoy the game!
