All white errethang is the new black.
If you're looking to take a lil walk on the wild side, winter white is for you.
I have a lot of pet peeves - elevator music, people who text "u" instead of "you", etc. However, one of my biggest is when people declare that certain colors cannot be worn during certain times of year. I'm not sure who decided on behalf of the world that wearing white after labor day should be deemed socially unacceptable, but they were either very pale or just hated the color with a burning passion. Regardless of the reason, they're also wrong. White is an incredibly versatile color that's breezy in summer and cozy in winter.
How to do it:
When wearing winter white, don't even try and make sure every item of clothing is the same shade of white. There's something very "snowman-chic" about having a variety of subtle differences.
I encourage all of you to just wear whatever you want, whenever you want. Winter white also can be turned into a fun game - wear white jeans in January and see how many people make a joke about the color! I've found that my favorite combinations of white clothing come from mixing a variety of "seasons". Dainty lace shorts, tights, and thick knitted sweaters make for an interesting combination of fabrics and an added cool factor.
It's tricky to do, but if done right, there's something very chic about being dressed H to T in one color! (especially white, because hashtag yolo)
Pretend I didn't say yolo.
Happy styling! - J
